Inventioneering
Hands-on, minds-on, project-based club for middle level students. Join us to work through the design process in order to solve real-world problems. Students can choose to enter their projects in either the Eastern WA Science and Engineering Fair (EWSEF) or the Invent WA competitions. Students will have work to do at home as part of this club if they are including this club on their learning plan for science.
Earth & Space Science
Hands-on, minds-on inquiry-based study of Earth and space science for middle/high school students. Join us to understand weather and seasons, learn how the Earth has changed over time, build models to show different systems on Earth, and learn how to reduce human impact on natural systems and resources. High school students will need to turn in written lab reports for every lab in order to work toward a high school credit.
Biology
Hands-on, minds-on inquiry-based study of introductory biology for middle/high school students. Join us to learn how your cells work, design experiments to test how matter and energy move through organisms, learn about animal behavior, solve a blood type mystery, and understand the theory of evolution. High school students will need to turn in written lab reports for every lab in order to work toward a high school credit.
Physical Science
Hands-on, minds-on inquiry-based study of introductory chemistry and physics for middle/high school students. Join us to discover the secret of alchemy, make hard rock candy, blow up balloons chemically, find out what makes popcorn pop, create Flubber, and make some crazy chemical reactions, then discover how physics powers your favorite amusement park rides. High school students will need to turn in written lab reports for every lab in order to work toward a high school credit.
